It all started with a simple conversation and an unexpected curiosity. During a day of diving, we were talking about getting a pet. While she dreamed of a dog, I was thinking about something more sustainable. I suggested getting a fish, which sparked her curiosity and led her to research aquariums. In that search, she found a video about aquaponics: a system that unites fish and plants in a natural and efficient cycle. When she showed it to me, something clicked. She wasn't working at the time, and I had a desire to invest in something that had a purpose and impact on sustainability. I proposed starting an aquaponics project together. Thus, acualuz was born, a shared idea, born of love, curiosity, and a commitment to a different way of producing food. Today, that small initial impulse has transformed into a living, resilient, and sustainable aquaponic farm that feeds families with fresh, clean products. This story is a reminder that big changes can start with a simple question... or a fish.
